Field Missionaries

Since 1907 SCA has welcomed men and women as missionaries as they traveled this vast country to minister to people who were even more isolated than they, because of their location.

The work of these missionaries has played, and continues to play, a significant role in SCA International ministry. The focus of our Field Missionaries ("FM's") remains the traditional itinerant chaplaincy to prisons, seniors homes, schools, truck stops, rodeos, fairs, music festivals and industrial locations, etc. Though automation in the logging and mining camps has minimized the number of people working there, our missionaries continue to share the gospel with men and women in those industries where isolation still contributes to loneliness and depression.

Each of our FM's have unique qualities, skills and God-given talents that give their well-thought out, creative evangelistic ministries significant impact in the communities in which they work. Music, art, storytelling, visitation by horse & buggy, canoe or bicycle... all are used by the wonderful men and women that continue in this ministry. Whether traditional or more advanced in their methods, they seek to be "all things to all men" with appropriate approach for the audience they are trying to reach for Jesus Christ.
