George & Carol Loney  Blueberry Ministry Centre Directors: George and Carol have been in full-time ministry as Ministers-at-Large for 28+ years, ministering together in a broad range of environments, with an emphasis on Christian counseling. Currently George is the Blueberry Ministry Centre Director for SCA International, Carol & George are Directors of Member Care, counseling and teaching services for the Ministry. Carol also travels with George when possible to provide support to mothers and wives in isolated areas. They are presently using their interpersonal and administrative skills doing pastoral ministry part-time with Corner Stone Christian Assembly in Dawson Creek, BC, and as Directors of SCA Blueberry Ministry Centre in Fort St. John, BC.
The Loney’s have been married for 45 years; have four adult children (two daughters and two sons) and 10 amazing and delightful grandchildren and one great-grandson.
George and Carol are convinced there is a need for Christian counseling, and they are committed to providing professional (Carol has an M.A. in Christian Counseling from Briercrest Biblical Seminary), confidential services to those who are hurting. They have devoted many years and thousands of hours to personal and group counseling, including co-founding the following Ministries: • Salem Acres Christian Academy in Alberta. Serving for 11 years, George was the General Manager and President of the Board for Salem Acres Association and Carol was the Principal and teacher of the academy. This ministry was focused on troubled youth, teaching life skills as well as academics. They also provided counseling to those involved in their care. • New Hope Centre in Arnprior, Ontario provided personal, marital and child/youth counseling throughout the Ottawa Valley area. • Amicus Ministries International in Peterborough, Ontario is a Ministry aimed at providing support to missionaries and others in full time ministry. George and Carol provided counseling to both missionaries and the broader Christian community; oversaw a retreat centre available for residential support and actively developed leadership skills in the Christian community.
George has been involved in many other capacities in the Christian community, including eldership, mentoring; prison ministries, community outreach and Church planting.
Carol is presently the Northern Director of Canadian Professional Counselors Association; Grief Therapist & Group facilitator of Bergeron Funeral Services & Crematorium Ltd in Dawson Creek; Part of S.A.L.T.S. leadership team and has been involved in mentoring, leadership of Bible studies and a past co-chair of Edmonton Women Alive.
Both George and Carol are accomplished speakers, and have conducted a number of retreats and seminars on parenting, marriage as well as other topics. They are available, either together or individually, for seminars, workshops, retreats and itinerant speaking.
