Eagle Bay Ministry Centre is located about 200 km northwest of Winnipeg in close proximity to Lake St. Martin on 85 acres of wooded and cleared land.
The main focus of ministry has been summer camp for youth. For many years, the summer program has consisted of 6 full weeks for youth, ages 7-15. The summer program is divided by age level, Junior Camp (7-10 year olds), Intermediate Camp (10-12 year olds) and specialized camps for Horsemanship instruction (10-15 year olds). Due to our geographic location, the majority of our campers (approximately 80-85%) are First Nations youth from the surrounding reserves.
The property has been developed to the point where we offer activities in swimming (above-ground pool), canoeing, archery, a pellet rifle range, climbing wall, horseback riding, crafts, sports bicycle course, sports (baseball, volleyball, etc.) and mini golf. Winter Camp Since 2001, weekend winter camps for 7-12 year olds have been offered during February. These fill up quickly and are very popular with the children.
Adult Conference & Retreat Centre Thanks to extensive renovations and upgrades, Eagle Bay Camp has also become a popular location for retreat groups.

In the off-season we provide meeting rooms for local organizations and host church retreats, family reunions, conferences, School day trips and other group events. This aspect of our programming provides steady income that subsidizes our low summer camp registration fees and allows us to serve our guests with the love of Christ.

From time to time, and depending on staff availability, additional programs have been offered to the area such as a 4-month residential Mentoring program for youth who have completed High School and a Leadership Training Program for younger teens. Both of these groups have assisted in community outreach, leading Gym Nights on the reserves. This program not only keeps us in touch with our campers, but thanks to no hesitation from community leaders in allowing Bible stories, songs and/or testimonies at these Gym Nights, we have been able to remind the children of God’s great love for them. The camp continues to pursue and evaluate more areas of community outreach in its programming. |
