In the summer of 2019 we soft-launched our Internship initiative. As a part of this initiative, we have partnered with Mile One Mission in Newfoundland / Labrador and Fellowship Baptist Church, New Hamburg, ON. Together we are sponsoring four interns financially to work full-time. Their focus on church planting and growth aligned well with our mission and core values.
SCA has the privilege of supporting two Interns at Fellowship Bible Church, New Hamburg, ON. We are please to report that one of them Jonathan Killoran has moved on to be the lead Pastor for a larger church in Chattam. His influenced during his time at Fellowship has caused the church to almost double in size and they needed to run two services on Sundays. This resulted in them needing to plant a new church in the nearby small town of Baden, ON. SCA is pleased to sponsor Nathan Kaptyn for this new church plant starting this year, so that more people can have a place to attend and learn about our Saviour Jesus Christ. Please prayerfully consider supporting Nathan and help us free him from the concerns of everyday financial needs and focus on his ministry to succeed.
We want to see Gospel-centred churches raised up from St. John’s to Bonavista; Gander to Clarenville; Salmon Cove to Upper Middle Cove, from Port Aux Basques to St. Anthony and from GooseBay to Nain. As Jesus said ‘go’ (Matt 28:19-20) it is our conviction to be His witness (Acts 1:8), proclaim the Gospel (Luke 24:47), and see His Kingdom come. — Mile One Mission
SCA has the privilege of sponsoring five young men and one young lady from Mile One Mission. As part of the Internship program they are mentored by Pastor Steve Bray. They are involved in weekly ministry at Calvary Baptist, St. Johns, the hub church for all Mile One Mission activities. In addition to working at Mile One Mission, the interns will assist SCA with our social Media platform lead by Adam Diamond.
SCA is pleased to report that two of the Interns from Mile One Mission have been released from our sponsorship and are fully supported as church Planters for two new churches in Newfoundland. Matthew Lahley at Kilbride, NL and Adam Diamond at Downtown St John's, NL. Adam Diamond will continue assisting SCA with social Media promotion and oversee the other Interns we support at Mile One Mission.
David Drover, Kurtis Rogers and the most recent John Lewis through Mile One Mission serves in Newfoundland and Labrador, where John Lewis serves more directly in Labraor.
Praise God for two new chruches planted in Newfoundland this past two years. We are pleased to sponsor David, Kurtis and John this year and can't wait to see and hear what God will do through them.
SCA International has had the pleasure of supporting a number of interns and ministries. With your support we can continue to support the training men and women across this country in ministry. Take some time to see what you have helped us accomplish by God's grace!
